[국제학생팀] (KOR/ENG/CHN) 스밈프 SMF(Studying&Mentoring with Friends) 프로그램 참여자 모집 (~1/25)

서강대학교 국제학생팀에서는 학업에 어려움을 느끼거나 학업 지원이 필요한 국제학생들이 보다 안정적인 학교생활을 할 수 있도록, 다른 학생들과 함께 학교생활을 익혀나갈 수 있는 프로그램을 마련하였습니다. 한 학기 이상 본교에 재학 중이며 학업에 어려움을 느끼는 국제학생이라면 본 프로그램에 신청할 수 있습니다.

[프로그램 소개]

◉ 프로그램 개요

- 프로그램명: 국제학생팀 SMF(Studying&Mentoring with Friends) 프로그램

- 운영 방식: 스밈퍼(SMFer: Mentor 개념) & 스밈피(SMFee: Mentee 개념)의 1:1 혹은 1:2 매칭

- 프로그램 설명: 학업에 도움이 필요한 국제학생 멘티와 도움을 제공할 수 있는 멘토 학생이 함께 공부하는 프로그램

- 프로그램 목적: 매칭된 학생끼리 학사 정보 공유 및 학업 멘토링을 실시하여 원만하게 한 학기를 마무리하는 것

◉ 활동기간

- 2026년 2월 3일 화요일 ~ 2026년 7월 10일 금요일, 약 5개월

(수강신청 담아놓기 기간 이전 ~ 학기말 성적 마감일 이후)

- 스밈퍼(SMFer)와 스밈피(SMFee)가 협의하여 자유로운 일정으로 SMF 활동 진행

◉ 활동 내용

: 스밈퍼(SMFer)는 스밈피(SMFee)가 한 학기를 잘 마무리 할 수 있도록 ‘학업 도움’을 제공합니다.

- 학업 계획 관련: 전략적 수강계획 수립 보조, 졸업요건 및 졸업학점 확인 방법 숙지 돕기 등

- 학교 생활 관련: 출결·지각·FA 등 학사 제도 안내, 학업 관련 스마트폰 APP 안내, 학교생활 관련 사이트(학교 홈페이지, SAINT, 개설과목정보 페이지 등) 활용 방법 공유, 한국 대학생활 문화 공유 등

- 수업 수강 관련: 교양 및 전공수업 관련 어려움을 헤쳐 나갈 수 있는 가이드라인 제시하기, SMFee 과제 이해 및 작성 방법 안내하기 등

- 한국어 공부 관련: 한국어 공부에 어려움을 겪고 있는 경우 관련 도움 제공

* 위 도움은 매칭된 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee)의 개인적 필요에 따라 제공합니다.

[스밈피(SMFee, Mentee): 국제학생]

◉ 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee) 지원 자격

- 서강대학교 학부 국제학생 (휴학 예정자 신청 불가)

- 2026-1 기준 2학기 이상 재학생

- 학업 조언, 학업 도움이 필요한 학생

학점 2.5 미만인 학생

- 전화·메일 등 연락을 잘 받는 학생

* SMFer 지원자가 적은 경우 등 상황에 따라 선발되지 않을 수 있습니다.

◉ 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee) 필수 활동

- 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor)와 함께 20시간 이상 활동

- ★SMFee 대면 OT 참석: 3월 9일 월요일 오전 10시 (20분 이내) (예정)

- 참여학생 간담회 참석: 6월 23일 화요일 오후 4시 (예정)

- 참여학생 설문조사 응답: 6월 30일 화요일까지

[스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor): 한국학생 및 국제학생]

◉ 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor) 지원 자격

- 서강대학교 학부 한국학생 및 국제학생 (휴학 예정자 신청 불가)

- 휴학생, 석박사과정 대학원생 지원 불가

- 성실하고 책임감 있으며, 국제학생과 적극적으로 교류하며 도움을 주고자 하는 의사가 있는 학생

* SMFee 지원자가 적을 경우 등 상황에 따라 선발되지 않을 수 있습니다.

◉ 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor) 지원 유의사항

- 본 프로그램은 교내 다른 프로그램과 동시 참여 가능함

- 활동 인정 기준을 모두 충족하지 않는 경우 (중도 하차 등) 사유 불문하고 활동비 지급 불가

- 프로그램 진행 중 타당한 사유 없이 중도 하차할 경우, 추후 국제학생팀 주관 프로그램 참여 제한 등의 불이익이 있을 수 있음

◉ 스밈퍼(SMFer) 활동 혜택

- 활동기준 충족 시 학기당 30만 원의 활동비 지급

◉ 스밈퍼(SMFer, Mentor) 활동 인정 기준

① 스밈피(SMFee, Mentee)와 함께 20시간 이상 활동

- 20시간 중 대면 14시간 이상 (최대 6시간 비대면 활동 인정)

- 3월, 4월, 5월, 6월은 매달 각 3회 이상의 활동 필수

② 활동 보고서 제출(5회): 첨부파일 양식에 활동 내용 작성, 증빙사진 첨부 필수

- 활동 계획 보고서 제출일: 2월 8일 일요일

- 1차 보고서 제출일: 3월 31일 화요일

- 2차 보고서 제출일: 4월 30일 목요일

- 3차 보고서 제출일: 5월 31일 일요일

- 4차 보고서 제출일: 7월 10일 금요일

- 매칭 후 송부받는 비대면 OT 자료 내용 숙지

2026 Spring Semester Recruitment of Participants

for the "SMF(Studying&Mentoring with Friends)" Program

The Office of International Student Affairs at Sogang University has prepared a program to help international students who need assistance or face difficulties in their studies to have a better university life by studying together with other students. Any international student who is currently enrolled in the university for more than one semester and feels that their university life and studies are challenging can apply for this program.

[Program Introduction]

◉ Program Overview

- Program Name: SMF(Studying & Mentoring with Friends) Program

- Management method: 1:1 or 1:2 matching of SMFer (스밈퍼: Mentor) & SMFee (스밈피: Mentee)

- Program Description: A program where international student mentees who need help with their studies study together with mentors who can provide help.

- Program Objective: Ending the semester successfully by sharing academic information and providing academic mentoring with matched students.

◉ Activity Period

- Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026 – Friday, July 10th, 2026, approximately 5 months

(From before adding courses to the wish list period until after the end of the semester grade submission deadline)

- SMF activities are conducted based on the mutually agreed schedule between SMFer (스밈퍼) and SMFee (스밈피).

◉ Activity Content:

: SMFer (스밈퍼) provides SMFee (스밈피) with 'Academic Help' to help finish the semester successfully.

- About academic guidelines: Assisting in establishing a strategic course plan, helping students understand graduation requirements and how to check graduation credits, etc.

- About University life: Information on academic systems such as attendance, being late, FA, etc., information on academic-related smartphone apps, sharing of how to use sites related to school life (school homepage, SAINT, course details page, etc.), sharing of Korean college life culture, etc.

- About taking classes: Providing guidelines to overcome difficulties related to general courses and major courses, providing guidance on how to understand and write SMFee’s assignments, etc.

- Related to studying Korean: Providing related help if having difficulty studying Korean

* The above help is provided based on the individual needs of the matched SMFee (스밈피, mentee).

◉ SMFee (스밈피, Mentee) Eligibility

- Sogang University undergraduate international student (students planning to take a leave of absence cannot apply)

- Students enrolled for more than 2 semesters as of 2026-1

- Students who need academic advice or academic help

Students with a GPA of lower than 2.5

- Students who are good at communicating by phone, email, etc.

* If there is a small number of SMFer applicants, you may not be selected.

◉ SMFee(스밈피, Mentee) Essential Activities

- More than 20 hours of activity with SMFer(스밈퍼, Mentor)

- ★SMFee face-to-face OT attendance: Monday, March 9th at 10 AM (within 20 minutes) (Tentative)

- Participating student meeting attendance: Tuesday, June 23nd at 4 PM (Tentative)

- Participating student survey responses: Until Tuesday, June 30

[SMFer (스밈퍼, Mentor): Korean and International Students]

◉ SMFer (스밈퍼, Mentor) Eligibility

- Sogang University undergraduate Korean and international students

- Students on leave of absence and graduate students in master's and doctoral programs are not eligible to apply

- Students who are sincere, responsible, and willing to actively interact with and help international students

* If there is a small number of SMFee applicants, you may not be selected.

◉ Notes on SMFer (스밈퍼, Mentor) application

- This program can be participated simultaneously with other programs on campus.

- If all activity recognition criteria (quit midway etc.) are not met, activity fees will not be paid regardless of the reason.

- If you drop out during the program without a valid reason, you may face disadvantages such as restrictions on participation in programs hosted by the Office of International Student Affairs in the future.

◉ Benefits of SMFer (스밈퍼) activity

- If the activity criteria are met, an activity fee of 300,000 won per semester will be paid.

◉ Standards for activity recognition of SMFer (스밈퍼, Mentor)

① More than 20 hours of activity with SMFee (스밈피, Mentee)

- At least 14 hours face-to-face communication out of 20 hours (maximum 6 hours of non-face-to-face activity is recognized)

- At least 3 activities each month are required in March, April, May and June.

② Submission of activity report (5 times): Must fill out the activity details in the attached file and attach supporting photos.

- Activity plan report submission date: Sunday, February 8th

- 1st report submission date: Tuesday, March 31st

- 2nd report submission date: Thursday, April 30

- 3rd report submission date: Sunday, May 31st

- 4th report submission date: Friday, July 10th

③ Other criteria

- Familiarize yourself with the content of OT materials that will be sent after the matching process

- ★SMFer face-to-face OT attendance: Monday, March 9 at 9:20 AM (around 30 minutes) (Tentative)

- Participating student meeting attendance: Tuesday, June 23nd at 4 PM (Tentative)

- Participating student survey responses: Until Tuesday, June 30

- A maximum of 180 minutes can be recognized for the activity where SMFer and SMFee just spend their time studying without doing other activities.

◉ SMFer ( Mentor ) 活动福利

- 满足活动认定标准时，每学期支付30万韩元的活动费

◉ SMFer ( Mentor ) 活动认定标准

① SMFee ( Mentee ) 一起活动20小时以上

- 20小时中, 面对面交流时间需要14小时以上（非面对面活动认可时间: 最长6小时）

- 3月, 4月, 5月, 6月每月必须各进行3次以上的活动

② 提交活动报告书（5次）: 按照附件格式中填写活动内容，必须附上证明照片

- 活动计划报告书提交日期: 2月8日 星期日

- 第1次报告提交日期: 3月31日 星期二
